Semi-savoy. Leaves and stems medium to dark green with low to intermediate anthocyanin coloring on the stems. Ovate-lanceolate have a pointed tip but are wider than typical lanceolate. Leaves also hastate to ovate shaped. Intermediate number of leaves, semi-upright, long petioles, and cupped out. Slight to intermediate blistering, strong glossiness on leaves. Plants 6-9" tall and 11-15" wide. Largest leaves 4-5.5" long and 3.5-5" wide. Early bolting on male plants when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Developed jointly by the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, College Station, TX and the USDA in Beltsville, MD; released in 1957. SSE Accession # 119574
