Purple Top White Globe

Biennial, easy to grow seed. Good beginner's crop. The r oots overwinter outdoors. Self-seeds and can carpet shady areas spring and fall. It came up this spring and again in October and is edible in November in cold weather. I bought the root variety and also the leaf variety from a local dollar store (three packs for a dollar). There is not enough sun here to form turnips but the leaves of both types are edible. 2026 seed
