S. aethiopicum. A different species than the typical eggplant. Smaller obovoid fruit mature from light/intermediate green at market maturity to red at seed maturity. Market mature and seed mature fruit 2-3" long, 1.25-2" wide and weigh 0.75-1.75 oz. Market mature fruit have greenish-white colored flesh. Seed mature fruit have 4-6 locules. Large shrub type plants 24-40" tall with very lobed leaves and have small white flowers. Moderate yielding and mid-season maturing when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm.
