Burgandy Wine

Single Image
VEGETABLES / LIMA-BEAN
POLE
This pole lima has gorgeous dry seeds. They live up their name and are a lovely burgundy color. When eaten in either the dry or the baby lima stage, they are creamy and earthy. The pods are curved and contain 3-4 seeds. They measure 2.5-3.5" long. This variety is moderately productive. They are mid to late maturing. Donated to SSE by Mary Schultz (WA SC M) of Monroe, Washington who acquired this variety from Lloyd Duggins (IN DU L). It's believed that Duggins received this variety from early SSE member Dr. John Wyche (OK WY J). SSE Accession # 112713
