VEGETABLES / PARSNIP
Organic Listing
Sourced from FedCo in 2025. Open pollinated (with no other parsnip varieties nearby). 120 days to maturity. Very large and long roots (easily 12", most longer) in our sandy soil. Incredibly sweet with rich parsnip flavor, better than the F1 hybrid we previously grew. Held very well in the ground until spring 2026 here in the PNW. Seeds harvested in August 2026 from 8' high, very robust (tree like) plants. Requesting postage only, free for local pickup. Happy to give away quantities large and small. Fedco's smallest packet is 1/8 oz (about 700 seeds).
Being new to saving parsnip seeds, I didn't realize how many a half dozen plants would produce, and my understanding is, parsnip seeds don't "keep" well (although the 2025 Andover seeds germinated fine this spring.) I've got 10 ounces, 50K to 60K seeds.
