Tohono Oodham aka U'us mu:n

Single Image
VEGETABLES / COWPEA
Very old heirloom variety grown by the indigenous inhabitants of the Santa Cruz river valley, modern day Tucson, AZ. The natives were known as Tohono Oodham which is obviously the source of the name of the variety, but in their language they called it U'us mu:n. Black and white mottled, not a black eye on a white bean. Plants are bushy and viney and a very prolific producer.
