Donated to SSE in 1981 by bean collector John Withee of Lynnfield, Massachusetts and the Wanigan Associates. Withee received the variety in 1977 from Harmon A. Poole of Litchfield, CT. It was originally purchased in Kenya in 1977 and brought to the U.S. by Poole's grandchildren. SSE Accession # 101217
