C. annuum. Hot. Conical, tapered fruit with semi-wrinkled skin. Fruit mature from green with purple stripes to dark red. Fruit wall is mild but placenta is pungent; fruit walls are thin with tough skin. Seeds are large. Pungency lingers on lips, tip of tongue and esophagus. Ripe fruit 3.2-4.4" long, 0.8-1 wide, and 0.6-0.8oz. Plants tall, erect, and bushy, reaching 3-3.5'; open branching habit. Significant purple striping on stems; dark purple nodes. Flowers large, white; exserted stigmas. Low productivity; late maturing when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Acquired by SSE from Alfrey Seeds; from Guatemala. SSE Accession # 116172
