C. maxima. Winter squash. Large, oblate, gray-blue-green fruit. Color varies within the blue-green spectrum. Light green stripes on base of fruit. Bumpy rind with moderate corking and slight ribbing. Pale orange, moderately thick flesh. Fair table quality. Moderately sweet. Very moist flesh. Slightly grainy texture. Mature fruit reach 5-8"" long by 8-11"" wide. Fruit weigh 6-15 lbs. Vigorously vining plants. Entire leaves. No silvering. Stiff trichomes (hairs) on stems and leaves. Mid-season maturing when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. Fruit kept for 78 days on average when stored at Heritage Farm in 2013-3014. First listed in the 1986 SSE Yearbook Exchange by Glenn Drowns; originally from North Carolina. SSE Accession # 119946
