Hungarian Wax

A great hungarian wax pepper that can be eaten at the immature yellow-green stage (for pickling) or at the seed mature red-orange stage. 5-6" long, 1.5" wide. Fruit hold well in immature stage, with delayed maturation. Good flavor at both stages, with medium heat. Very crunchy when immature. Slightly sweeter when ripe but pungency doesn't change much. Highly productive in 2020 at Heritage Farm. Plants have considerable branching. Capsicum annuum. Acquired by SSE from Kaaren Talbott (CA TA K). SSE Accession # 117562
