Pole Dry. This bean I had grown and donated to Seed Savers Exchange in the fall of 1980. When SSE was located in the home of Kent and Diane Whealy in Princeton, Missouri. I believe I had obtained this bean from a frequent SSE seed trading member Ralph Stevenson of Tekonsha, Michigan. My most recent grow out of the bean gave me inconsistent growth habit among a small group of 8 plants. Only one plant climbed it's support the rest had a sprawling growth. The plants all produced an nice quality of seed, long and reminicent of Vermont Mohawk.
