Pole Dry bean. A European heirloom sent to me from Volpiano, Italy in 2019. A excellent bean with nice coloration. White beans with black splashes over the tops that contain grey flecks. 3 vines produced a pound of dry beans. Italy is quite a treasure trove of heirloom beans, and they have a long tradition of regional varieties with special uses. I believe this bean is named for the town of Briel-Sur-Roya which is on a well known railway route that runs between Nice and Cuneo Italy.
