Rare bean from the Rose family of Panola, Madison County, Kentucky who grew this bean for over 70 years. This represents excellent and devoted family stewardship of a cultivar. Pods: Flattish; very large, long over 6" and broad; thick and fleshy with a sweet flavor. Pods have strings but can be picked before strings develop. Can also be used as a dry bean.
