VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
Semi Runner Dry. This bean does grow runners that will climb a short 4 foot trellis. First dry pods in about 100 days. White ovoid shaped seeds have a large solid dark blue patch around the eye. Discovered and named by the late Ralph Stevenson, an early member of the Seed Savers Exchange from Tekonsha, Michigan, this variety originated as an outcross found in his bean gardens in the late 1970s. As the plants mature, they develop striking yellow pods. It has also been sold commercially by Annapolis Seeds in Nova Scotia, Canada.
