VEGETABLES / BEAN
SNAP-POLE
Broad, N. Italian Romano green bean. Very rare. 75-80 days. Very productive, vigorous plants. Will climb like hops! 3-6" long, 1/2-3/4" wide. Brought from Forno di Zoldo, Italy, near Austrian border by a man named Cini to the family of Rudy Favretti. Delicious snap bean, shelly, and soup bean too. Large, pretty seeds. James Michley, a curator at the OSU Herbarium, Corvallis, OR, got them from Tri-County Greenhouse in Mansfield, CT. 1st flush, I picked over 1/2 bushel off of my 14-foot row! Limited availability. MR/LQ. I can send email photos. Very large seed requires special packaging, ie, a small box.
