Garden or dry pea. Sugar pod. Vigorously climbing plants have white flowers and 1-3 basal branches. Straight green pods measure 2.5-3 inches long and about 0.5 inches wide. Pods 1-2 per cluster. Seeds buff colored, round with a bit of wrinkling. Soup peas are slightly grainy and mild flavored. Later maturing and average productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. A variety by this name has been exchanged in the SSE Yearbook Exchange for at least 20 years.
