VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
Bush/dry. Despite the name, it's a great dry bean. Small, smooth, cream-colored beans. About four seeds per pod. A nice bush variety! Grown by Jeremiah Joehl in 2026 for the Collection Documentation Project. This accession was donated to SSE in 1992 by Judy Gaunt of Tweed, Ontario, Canada, who was affiliated with the Heritage Seed Program (today known as Seeds of Diversity Canada). Judy introduced this variety into the 1987 SSE Yearbook calling it "my first heirloom discovery, has been grown by Marsh family near here for over 100 years." Judy received this variety from a local elderly couple who, at that time, indicated "no one else around here grew them anymore."
