SNAP-BUSH
Bush. Excellent as a snap bean and also suitable as a dry bean—a 2025 standout! Snap beans are juicy, crunchy, sweet, and stringless. Pods are variably curved, green, and measure 5.5–6.5" long, 0.4" wide, and contain 4–7 seeds per pod. Plants average 2.1' tall. White flowers. Seeds are medium-sized, white, and kidney-shaped. Dry beans are somewhat difficult to shell. High vigor and productivity in 2025 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE in 1981 by bean collector John Withee of Lynnfield, Massachusetts and the Wanigan Associates.
