VEGETABLES / TOMATO
PINK-PURPLE
SSE received this variety in 2016 from the personal collection of Jeff McCormack, founder of Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. He received the variety in 1989 from Norma Vinyard of Sedalia, Missouri. Norma indicated the tomato was from a friend's grandfather, Walter E. Burcham, who grew it in North Carolina. At that time, Mr. Burcham was 88 years old and couldn't quite remember if he bought the seeds from a catalog or a local store, but felt he could have been growing it anywhere from 30 to 50 years.
