SSE received this variety circa 1995 from Exchange lister Clark Derr (PA DE C) of Manheim, Pennsylvania. He acquired the variety from fellow lister Steve Smith (PA MI S) at the Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum in Lancaster County, PA. Steve shared this variety in 1988 SSE Yearbook stating: "from the Leroy Schmidbauer tomato collection, orig. obtained from Amish Lapp family."
