A Russian traveler is said to have smuggled out seeds in 1975 and gave it to a greenhouse operator in Alberta, Canada. It is capable of setting fruit at 38 degrees F on sturdy, dark green plants, although it is not frost-hardy. Fruits are bright red, 3-5 oz. in weight, and bunch in clusters of 30 or more on the small bush plants. Very popular in Alaska today. 48 days to fruit!!
