SNAP-BUSH
Conserva is a bush snap bean variety with a compact growth habit, featuring white blossoms and light green foliage. The plant produces oval green pods that are fleshy yet not stringy, with a slight bend. Seeds are small white and some have a slight red blush. Known as "Konserva" by German growers, it was marketed in 1925 by Samenz chterei David Sachs, a seed nursery in Quedlinburg, Germany, and was bred by David Sachs's company. This variety is a cross between the European beans Alpha and Saxa. Acquired this bean from world traveler and rare seed hunter Joseph Simcox in 2013
