This variety was donated to SSE in 2010 by James A. Wick, Peach Grove Nursery & Gardens, Martin, Tennessee. He explained that it originated as an accidental cross between a cantaloupe and a honeydew in Jim Lovett's garden in Raulston, TN in the early 1980s. Not wanting the variety to disappear, James Wick began selling the seed through his nursery.
