Organic Listing
Malva sylvestris, AKA high mallow, common mallow, or wood mallow, is an upright biennial or short-lived perennial planteae). Keep it deadheaded by cutting back leggy growth, and will bloom from late spring until frost. Self seeds so readily, can become weedy (but all parts of the plant are edible, so just harvest for dinner!). Highly attractive to green metallic sweat bees and honeybees; larval host for Painted Lady butterfly. Highly drought tolerant in sun or light shade and any soil.
