Orange, tapered, straight roots with pointed tips and flat to rounded tops. Roots have ridged skin and red or green tops. Flesh is dark to light orange from outside in. Roots measure 4-7" long and weigh 2-5 oz. 5-8 yellow-green leaves are not dense and are rather hairy. Low bolting tendency when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Highly rated at 2015 SSE taste evaluation for sweetness and classic carrot taste. SSE acquired this accession from the Leibniz-Institut für Pflzanzengenetik und Kulturpflanzenforschung (IPK gene bank) in Gatersleben, Germany during the 1990s SSE Accession # 107005
