A dwarf cowpea. Very small and compact with plants scarcely reaching 1' tall and wide. Early maturing. Low productivity. A great choice for northern gardens and small spaces. Green pods; 6-7" long. Pods contain 12-17 small, oval, cream-colored seeds. Fair flavor and texture. Non-pigmented plants. White flowers. Donated to SSE by Luis Mendes (RI ME L) who acquired this variety in 1999 from Deep Diversity (CV De5). It was reportedly developed by Professor Elwyn Meader of the University of New Hampshire for northern gardens. SSE Accession # 109056
