VEGETABLES / RUNNER-BEAN
110+ dry days - all mature by frost. Huge (1 x 5/8") flattened light greyish purple seed with black streaks, bearing until frost. Exceptionally productive (under a hickory). In 2014 germinated practically underwater then survived 2 months drought and 2 months wet. In 2015 also germinated during a flood then tolerated a cold dry summer to bear heavily. Dry pods 3/4 x 6", slightly curved, streaked (purplish when unripe). Probably edible as snap and shell as well as dry. Said to be heat resistant as well as doing okay in the north. Brought from Korea by Wang family in Seattle. A winner. In 2015 half the seeds were dark purple and black finely speckled (crossed with Tucomares Black? so I cannot guarantee purity. I can send both kinds.
