An ancient grain similar to wheat, which some (but not all) wheat-sensitive people can eat. Has a different head structure. Champ has yielded over 150 bushels in PA; needs to be planted in late fall and it does best, surprisingly, in a hard cold winter! Pound and kilo bags available. $10/pound
