Yellow-green curly leaf. Impressively bolt resistant. Bolted three weeks later than any other of the 30 lettuce varieties grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Withstands the heat of summer. Leaves have a crinkled appearance, with a blistered surface and undulating margins. Leaves are thicker but still fairly tender. Some bitterness in inner leaves. Slightly sweet. Mostly uniform, with the occasional plant forming a loose head. Largest leaves measure 5-7 long by 7-9 wide at market maturity. Plants reach 6-9 tall by 10-13 wide. White seeded. Donated to SSE by Suzanne Ashworth (CA AS S) who obtained it from Shepherd's Garden Seeds (CV Sh2). SSE Accession # 112266 CA AS S
