4' tall, stocky plants with bronze inflorescences. Erect panicles with little drooping. Plants resist lodging. Green leaves with pink stems and petioles. White seeds. Very uniform. This variety was donated to SSE by Orville Hillis (IA HI O) who acquired it from the USDA station in Ames, IA. Hillis indicated the variety was developed by the Rodale Research Center in the 1980s.
