Moderately uniform, long, gold pak type carrot with bright orange flesh. Good carrot flavor, slightly sweet and dry with average crunchiness. Roots are between 4.5-8.5 inches long, 1-1.5 inches wide, sit low in the ground and are tapered to a point. Plants grow semi-erect, are moderately leafy and have a low bolting tendency in the first year. 8.2 BRIX when grown in 2020 at Heritage Farm. SSE acquired this variety in 2017 from the USDA collection (PI 632383). The USDA received this carrot variety in 1961 from the Burgess Seed and Plant Company. Orginally developed by Ferry-Morse and was an All-America Selections (AAS) winner in 1956. SSE Accession # 133208
