SNAP-BUSH
Bush bean, growing 12-16" tall. Slight climbing tendency if provided with support. White flowers. Silvery green immature beans develop light purple blush and become yellow as they mature. Curved, round pods are glabrous. Mature pods average 3.5" long by 0.4" wide. Suture string present. Snap bean. High productivity. Small, white navy bean. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Tom Knoche (OH KN T) who received it from the late Ruby Wacker of Garner, Iowa at an SSE Conference & Campout. This variety was grown by Ruby's aunt, Emma Ox (1885-1975). Emma likely received the bean as a young woman from her parents, Christina and Fred Ox, who emigrated from Prussia. SSE Accession # 104251
