C. pepo. Small, round to oblong, orange pumpkin. Uniform fruit. Sparse, but prominent warts on all fruit. Fruit measure 6-9"" long by 6-8"" wide and weigh 3.5-8lbs. Medium-orange flesh, 0.9-1.3"" thick. Fair eating qualities. Mild, slightly sweet flavor. Stringy, dense flesh. Strongly vining plants. Distinct leaves. No silvering. Mid-season maturing. Fruit kept for 80 days on average when stored at Heritage Farm in 2013-3014. Donated to SSE by Norman Turner (PA TU N) of Grove City, PA. This variety was passed down from Turner's grandparents who grew it in western PA since at least the early 1900's. Used by the family for pumpkin pie.
