HEAD
Red-green butterhead. Pigmentation is moderate in intensity and uniformly distributed. Well-developed head. Leaves are highly blistered with moderately undulating margins. Fair eating qualities. Inner leaves are tender and buttery. Outer leaves are thicker and slightly tough and bitter. Leaves measure 5-8" long by 7-9" wide at market maturity. Plants reach 6-8" tall by 13-14" wide. Very uniform plants. Mid-season maturing. White seeded. Donated to SSE in the early 1980s by Eileen Wheeler (UT WH E) who obtained the lettuce from C.J. Golembiewski (IN GO C).
