Significant variability in this variety. Pods are all green and medium in length. Some are downy, others prickly; most are straight, some are curved. Plants range from solid green to green and red and reach 5-7 feet tall in northeast Iowa. If saving seeds, select for pods that are less spiny. Variation in other traits is acceptable. Good flavor.
