French Two Dot

Single Image
VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
A small white bean with two brown spots on the other side of the white eye. This bean was collected by Lystin Thompson of Friendship, Me in approximately the 1950's. He was traveling in the Lewiston, Me area and met a local farmer of French-Canadian descent. He named this bean, it also has the name Lewiston Two Dot. Lystin passed this bean to Neil Lash who added it to the Medomak Valley High School collection. 2024 was a good growing year and I have plenty to share. They are said to make excellent baked beans.
