Lemont Convent

Single Image
VEGETABLES / GARLIC
I received a start for this garlic from another gardener at our local community garden. His name was John and he acquired the garlic from his 92-year-old aunt who was a nun at a convent in Lemont, Illinois. This is a rocambole garlic with great taste. It stores into the next spring. It has white bulb rappers and brown/pink clove skins. In northern Illinois, it is ready to harvest in late July. Garlic is shipped in the autumn. Ordering deadline for Lemont Convent garlic is October 15th of each year.
