Capsicum annuum. A hot, thin-walled pepper, solid red when ripe, 2-3" long, variably shaped but typically stout-conical. Plants fruit early and thrive in cool spring weather. Grown by Joseph Klein in 2020 for the Collection Documentation Project; he described it as having "that beautiful sweetness of an early jalapeno, but with a more smoky and complex flavor" and being "excellent at all stages", fresh, cooked, or dried. Heat similar to a hot jalapeno or mild serrano. SSE Accession # 117588
