Purple Giant

Amaranthus spp. Red stems with narrow, lance-shaped leaves, leaf color ranges from red veins and green leaves to completely red/purple. Flowers are in the panicles at the top of the plant. Black seeds. Grown by Donna O'Dell for the 2020 Collection Documentation Project. This variety came to SSE in the 1980s from the Good Seed Company (CV Goo) of Washington. SSE Accession # 100010
