Bychye Serdtse (Khilenko)

Medium-sized (0.430 lb. average), red, ribbed, piriform to cardioid fruits are meaty with rather mild, but delicious, pleasant and sweet flavor – no hint of tartness. Regular leaf, indeterminate vines with very good yield from 85 days. Seeds from Natalia Khilenko of Armavir, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Bychye Serdtse translates to “Bull’s Heart”; not to be confused with dozens of others so-named, this is a family heirloom from Natalia’s family.
