Wild Pigeon Bean

Pole habit dry bean. Good flavor, slightly sweet, and nutty. Moderately climbing plants have purple flowers. Stem pigment localized to nodes. Pods constricted, mature from green to green with purple stripes and dashes. Six seeds per pod. Small, oval, mottled tan/white and dark purple seeds. Hard seeded. Moderately productive and mid season maturing when grown in 2017 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by William Woys Weaver (PA WE W) who received this variety from member Sallie Tackett (OH TA S).
