VEGETABLES / TOMATO
            RED
This should be the same variety as Portuguese Monster, but some grower's have dropped Michael from the name. This genetic line might be developing unique traits, however. Depending upon how it grows in 2015, the name Bigzarro is under consideration. Some really bizarre traits: 1) an abundance of suckers growing out of LEAVES! - these suckers grew normally, produced blossoms and even small tomatoes before stopped by cold weather; 2) biggest, most complex megablooms I've ever seen - as many as 14 fused blossoms and 38 sepals, with sepals spanning 6-1/4; 3) lobes on developing tomatoes tend to be pointed - a trait I've not seen before; 4) stem gets thicker as one moves up the vine on younger growth, with over a 1 diameter 7' from the ground; 5) huge megablooms are the norm, with relatively few single blossoms; 6) occasional megablooms with leaf, vine and flower tissue all growing together in one conglomerate who-knows-what. Picture shown is of a Utah State record 3.754 lb. specimen. Otherwise, red flesh, clear epidermis, regular leaf, indeterminate vines, excellent flavor, fairly juicy, great on sandwiches. Yet another large-fruited varieties with very good flavor - much better than many of those little ones.
