Amaranthus cruentus. Red stems with green leaves. Flowers in erect crimson heads. Seeds black. Grown by Bozena Schmall for the 2020 Collection Documentation project; she described the variety as vigorous and growing about 5 feet tall. Donated to SSE circa 2002 by Blane Bourgeois (AR BO B).
