Schnittmangold Gelb

A lovely Swiss chard that has yellowish-green petioles. Leaves 12-14 inches long by 9-13 inches wide. Plants 15-21 inches tall. Sparse hairs. Erect growth habit. When cooked this is very tender and earthy tasting. Donated to SSE by Sylvia Davatz (VT DA S) who obtained this variety from Switzerland circa 1996. She indicates that the name translates as "yellow cutting chard." SSE Accession # 121329
