C. pepo. Acorn type squash. Very small squash look like little pumpkins. Fruit have orange skin with pronounced ribbing and measure about 2 inches long, 3-3.5 inches wide, and weigh up to 0.5 pounds. For a small squash it has relatively thick flesh up to 0.6 inches. Moderately vining plants. Above average productivity and mid-season maturing when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. This is a surprisingly good little squash. Above average eating qualities that is sweet, nutty, and slightly grainy texture. Donated to SSE by Ken Stoller (OH ST K). He first listed this variety in the 1986 SSE Yearbook Exchange and indicated that he received it from a friend who visited China in 1982. SSE Accession # 120703
