Hazel Gold

Beefsteak tomato. Flattened to slightly flattened fruit are dark orange and measure 2.25-3" long, 3.-4.5" wide, and weigh up to 17 ounces. 2-5 fruits per cluster BRIX reading 5.0. Indeterminate plants with standard leaves and inserted styles. Mid-season maturing and average productivity when grown in 2016 and 2025 at Heritage Farm. This is one of the most acidic tasting varieties we grew in 2016. Donated to SSE in the mid 1990s by Exchange lister Jerry Moomaw (OH MO J). This variety was grown by Jerry's grandmother, but is one for which Jerry did not know the name. Therefore, he named it after his grandmother. SSE Accession # 125536
