Very ornamental. Short and fat pods are partially to mostly red. Good flavor. Best eaten under 3" long. Prickly pubescence. 6-9 ridges per fruit. Highly productive when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Plants reached 2.5-3ft tall. Red stems and petioles; green leaves. Dry pods measured 4.5-5.5" long. Acquired by SSE from Peaceable Kingdom School (TX PE K) in the 1990s. Originally offered in the SSE Yearbook Exchange by Nancee Rush (TX RU N) in the 1980s. At that time Rush stated the variety had been grown in an old hill country family for about 80 years. SSE Accession # 114072
