Lizzie

Red, plum shape fruit. Most are pyriform, some cylindrical. Most have pointed blossom ends, some are flat. Average length 2.3", width 1.8", 2 oz. Moderate blossom end rot when grown in 2012, none in 2011. Fruit drops readily when ripe. Indeterminate; potato leaf; flower stigma same level as stamen. Skin somewhat tough, good flesh texture, bland flavor. Acquired by SSE from Steve Billey (IN BI S). He obtained the variety from a local older Amish gentleman selling produce along the road who stated that when he was growing up, the tomato became known as "Lizzie" after Lizzie Borden.
