Sweet Round

This is a small, round watermelon with dark green skin and red flesh. It has a thin rind and brown seeds. The flavor is excellent! It is sweet and juicy, without strings or too many seeds. The flesh is crisp. Brix 8.8. The fruits measure 8" in both diameter and length, and 9.5-12.5 lbs. It is fairly disease resistant. During the 2021 planting at Heritage Farm this variety had high productivity despite disease. Early maturing. Donated to SSE circa 2002 by Mark Ohmann (MN OH M) of Albany, MN who acquired this variety from a local source. SSE Accession # 127987
