Leprechaun

This romaine lettuce forms a moderately loose elliptic head. The leaves are red-green in color and spatulate in shape. The plants are 8-11" tall. It is a little bitter and fairly astringent, though moderately sweet with a crisp midrib. The leaves are tender. It is mid to late maturing and bolts fairly early. SSE Accession # 111608
